Old Ebbitt Grill In Washington, D.C.
If you’re in the Washington, D.C. area and looking for a nice place to eat, I highly recommend the Old Ebbitt Grill. My dad’s friend, who knows D.C. fairly well, recommended the place. Unfortunately we didn’t make a reservation so we had to wait an hour until we were seated. So if you’re going definitely make a reservation because the place gets packed! If you do have to wait around, the restaurant is right across the street from the White House, so you have things to go see while waiting.
For dinner my dad ordered the pork chop, which came with a sweet potato puree, kale, and cranberry apple compote. I ordered a veggie platter, which had maple glazed acorn squash, butternut squash, and kale on top of whole grain rice. Both dishes were exceptional, and they both had an autumn flavor to them, which we both really enjoyed.
